MESSAGES

Marked With Promise (Genesis 12:1-3)

Genesis 12:1 The Lord had said to Abram, Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. 2 I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.

In the above verses we see several promises of God to Abram, among other things, God promised Abram a blessed offspring.

But what God determined there was much greater than a simple promise of blessing to Abram, in fact what was demonstrated there was the GREATEST PROMISE OF GOD TO HUMANITY.

If we look at the descent of Abraham, who was the patriarch of the people of Israel, we will see in the human genealogy of Jesus Christ that He was a member of the tribe of Judah, as Joseph was a descendant of Judah, great-grandson of Abraham.

Matthew 1:
1 This is the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah the son of David, the son of Abraham:
2 Abraham was the father of Isaac, Isaac the father of Jacob, Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers,
3 ...
15 Elihud the father of Eleazar, Eleazar the father of Matthan, Matthan the father of Jacob,
16 and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah.

That is why we are the blessed families of the land that God promised Abram, by the power of the gospel:

John 1:12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

Romans 9:8 In other words, it is not the children by physical descent who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring.

Galatians 4:28 Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise.

You are the blessed offspring, a child of God's promise to Abram. Believe in this word and live this word, as Jesus said:

Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

The promises of God are all at your disposal, it is up to you to take possession, obey, do God's will and most importantly, give your life to Jesus, then you will be marked by the fulfillment of God's promises in your life.

YOU ARE BLESSED OF GOD, CHILD OF GOD'S PROMISE.

The Lord bless you and keep you
