The Great Miracle of God: SALVATION (Matthew 26:41)

FIGHT TO ACHIEVE THE THINGS THAT ARE OF GOD.

Perhaps you have read the above sentence and started to think: I really have to fight to acquire more goods, to earn more money and to gain more wealth.

But your biggest struggle should be to reach the great promise and the great miracle of God which is SALVATION.

Jesus was short to be arrested and He was in anguish, so He went to pray and seek God's comfort (as you probably do in these situations), and Jesus took some of his disciples with him and guided them:

Matthew 26:41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Much is said about the NEED FOR PRAYER, but little is said about the NEED FOR VIGILANCE and in the verse above, Jesus makes it clear that these attitudes, THE TWO ATTITUDES, are necessary for us NOT TO FALL INTO TEMPTATION and consequently not to sin against God.

Our struggle to reach the holy things of God must be daily.

Those who do not pray cease to feel God and cease to be strengthened by Him, because in sincere prayer we feel God and He often reveals and reminds us of parts of His Word, which comfort us and bring us the necessary encouragement to get up. to move forward.

Vigilance is critical, because the flesh desires the things that are supposed to be good for the body and the mind and does not desire the things that are of God (of the Spirit).

Galatians 5:17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.

When you do not watch and allow the desires of the flesh (your desires) to rule your life, you become spiritually cold and start to believe in a distant God, who accepts any attitude.

There is an incessant struggle between the desires of the flesh (your desires) and the desires of the Spirit (of God), and you must realize this and act to not let your desires override God's desires, after all, think about it: ARE YOUR WISHES OR GOD'S WISHES MORE IMPORTANT?

Clearly your answer to the above question should be: OF COURSE THAT ARE THE WISHES OF GOD.

So act on that answer and you will no longer fall into Satan's traps and with the passage of time you will control your being more and you will no longer practice attitudes that are not pleasing to God.

Then you will get closer to God, feel his Spirit and live much better, with the peace of the Prince of Peace, who is Jesus. YOU WILL SEE.

The Lord bless you and keep you
