The World or God? (Matthew 16:26)

Days ago I was praying and thinking, "What have we been offering to God?"

There are so many concerns and cares that man should have in this world and how many of those concerns and attitudes are being dealt with in the wrong way.

Today parents are so concerned with preparing their children for the “world”, giving them the best: studies in good schools, foreign language courses, complementary courses, guidance regarding their first job, etc.

Some parents even have the privilege of offering their children an international trip, on vacation or exchange, to further prepare them for their future.

None of this would be wrong, if it were not for the inverted priority of values, as the every parent's priority should be to prepare their children for God and for salvation and secondarily to take care of the necessary preparations for them to live in this dark world.

Jesus taught us that this world lies in the evil one and to prepare someone to submit to and extract the most from this world, which lies in the evil one, is not in the heart of God.

1 John 5:19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in wickedness.

You may have been surprised by this approach, but I will clarify for you to understand:

Parents should offer the best for their children, as God does with us.

Parents must prepare their children to be victorious in this world, but the BIG TARGET OF ANY FATHER MUST BE TO PREPARE THEIR CHILDREN, FOR A LIFE OF COMMUNION WITH GOD, teaching them not to be convinced with the values and with the attitudes of this world, and teaching them to observe the moral and holy values of God, because yes, YOU WILL BE PREPARING YOUR CHILDREN TO WIN THE WORLD AND IN THE WORLD and we have to overcome the world to reach the glory of God.

1 John 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. 5 Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

After all, what is a man worth, if he shall gain the whole world, but loses his own soul?

Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

All success in this world, WITHOUT GOD, is worthless, except to lead to perdition, destruction and hell.

Therefore, your obligation as a parent is to teach your children the way they should go, because when they are adults, they will not depart from it.

Proverb 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

And then you will see the manifestation of God and the achievements that God will bring to them.

Psalms 1:1 Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law does he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.

The Lord bless you and keep you.
