During one of the prayer meetings I meditated on how important our daily decisions towards God are and not just considering our decision when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
God has always left it with man to decide whether to follow him or not, although God had the authority to compel man to serve him.
God's will always be that you care about his wishes and that you seek him with all your heart and all your soul.
Deuteronomy 4:29 But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.
Revelation 3:20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
And God's answer or reward for these attitudes will always be his communion with you.
When Jesus walks by Matthew, who until then was a tax collector, the only thing He said was: FOLLOW ME.
Matthew 9:9 As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. Follow me, he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.
AND MATTHEW OBEYED IMMEDIATELY.
Choosing Jesus in your daily life is essential for you to be near him and have the forged character of Christ in your life.
Perhaps you have already decided or will decide one of these questions today:
. Am I going to pray or am I not going to pray?
. Will I lose patience or will I be long-suffering?
. Will I curse or will I bless?
. Will I complain or will I give thanks?
. Do I go to church or do I rest?
. Will I bribe or will I wait on God?
. Am I going to praise the Lord or am I just going to practice a ritual?
. Will I seek my blessing or will I seek the blesser?
. Will I cheat or will I be honest?
. Will I obey God or will I sin?
. Will I be blessed or will I be cursed?
. Will I serve God or will I serve the devil?
. Am I going to heaven or am I going to hell?
. And many other decisions.
And those are just some of the decisions you have to make every day.
Have you made your decisions today?
HAVE YOU CHOOSE JESUS TODAY?
The Lord bless you and keep you.
