The River of God (Ezekiel 47:1-12)

In the Biblical passage of Ezekiel 47:1-12 God clearly demonstrates his will to purify his people.

The prophet Ezekiel was taken "in the Spirit" to have some visions, among them, in one of the visions, he saw a river, the "River of God".

We must understand that the River of God is Jesus and the great work that Jesus did and is still doing is exactly that: PURIFY THE NATIONS.

Ezekiel saw a river, whose waters at first reached his ankles.

Soon after, the angel made him advance a thousand cubits and the waters of the river were up to his knees.

He advanced another thousand cubits and the waters of the river were up to his waist.

He advanced another thousand cubits and the river was already too deep and could not be crossed except by swimming.

Ezekiel 47:3 As the man went eastward with a measuring line in his hand, he measured off a thousand cubits and then led me through water that was ankle-deep. 4 He measured off another thousand cubits and led me through water that was knee-deep. He measured off another thousand and led me through water that was up to the waist. 5 He measured off another thousand, but now it was a river that I could not cross, because the water had risen and was deep enough to swim in — a river that no one could cross.

In the next vision, Ezekiel saw the “River of God” transforming situations and taking life wherever he went.

Transforming arid places into fertile ones, transforming salt waters into fresh waters, transforming the waters of the dead sea, where there is no life, into a place where there will be plenty of fish.

Ezekiel 47:8 He said to me, This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, where it enters the Dead Sea. When it empties into the sea, the salty water there becomes fresh.

Ezekiel 47:9 Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live.

And finally, the River which is Jesus, will sustain, protect the people of God and bring healing to the nations of the earth.

Ezekiel 47:12 Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.

Therefore, it is Jesus who can transform your life, go deep into that river, let yourself be carried by that river, WHEREVER HE WANTS TO TAKE YOU, GO and you will achieve the power of God, the anointing of the Holy Spirit, healing for your soul, the peace of Jesus and your salvation.

The Lord bless you and keep you.
