MESSAGES

The Prayer (Acts of Apostles 12:5)

At Cristo é Paz Church, we have a prayer meeting every Monday at 7:30 pm.

Unfortunately, generally speaking, prayer meetings in Christian churches are little attended, when in fact it should be the opposite, that is, IN PRAYER MEETINGS THERE SHOULD BE MASSIVE PARTICIPATION OF MEMBERS AND WORKERS OF THE CHURCH.

A hard observation is that: PEOPLE DO NOT LIKE TO PRAY, that is, PEOPLE DO NOT LIKE TO SPEAK TO GOD, and are increasingly focused on being superficial in relation to God, losing spiritual sensitivity and as a consequence they do not receive from God the necessary comfort to move forward and overcome their daily struggles in this dark world.

Jesus did not get tired of praying and seeking God, while he was in this world as a man, he climbed the mountains where he sought help and the presence of God.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 pray continually.

This was God's guidance for all of us.

But many prefer disobedience, thinking they can win their struggles in their own way, but they are running a serious risk of shipwreck, leaving aside the certain victory, which happens when we do it God's way.

I usually say that we should take advantage of every opportunity that God gives us and certainly prayer meetings are opportunities that God gives us to have a closer and constant contact with Him.

Make no mistake, maybe you are living a brutal lie of darkness, thinking that praying is banal and ritualistic, but I tell you that prayer is a Christian foundation and if it weren't for that, Jesus wouldn't have done it with such intensity and constancy.

At the beginning of my conversion, my wife and I were regulars at a weekly prayer meeting that the church provided for us.

These were wonderful and remarkable moments in my life, because there I received my first gift of the Holy Spirit and had experiences with God that I will never forget.

In the book of Acts of the Apostles, chapter 12, Peter had a fabulous experience with God while he was in prison, because the church continually prayed to God for him.

Acts 12:5 So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him.

If you still don't have the habit of praying intensely and constantly, you are surely missing a lot of what God has to deliver you.

SO, TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE OPPORTUNITY THAT GOD GIVES YOU RIGHT NOW.

The Lord bless you and keep you
