The Glory of Man (Jeremiah 9:23-24)

God, especially in the books of Jeremiah and Hosea, but not only in them, made it clear MAN'S NEED TO KNOW HIM and what would be the consequences that the lack of knowledge of the Word and heart of God would generate.

Jeremiah 9:23 This is what the LORD says: Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, 24 but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight, declares the LORD.

Hosea 4:6 my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge...

The lack of knowledge about God has generated people with a mediocre spiritual life and who are carried about by every "wind of teaching", believing lies and myths, because they do not know the truth.

2 Timothy 4:4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

Therefore, knowing the Word of God must be THE FOUNDATION FOR EVERY CHRISTIAN.

HAVE YOU BEEN STRUGGLING TO KNOW THE WORD OF GOD AND CONSEQUENTLY GOD?

If you have not been striving to know God, then be motivated by his EXHORTATIVE WORD:

Hosea 6:3 Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.

So that his WORD OF CONFIRMATION may not come upon you:

Hosea 4:6 my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge...

Reading this verse we realize that we will be easy targets for darkness, if we do not discern what is the true will of God and what is the deceitful lie of the devil.

Because, as you know, the strategy used by Satan today is the same strategy he used to deceive Adam and Eve, and it is the same strategy he used to try to seduce Jesus in the wilderness, and his strategy is: TRYING TO CORRUPT THE WORD OF GOD.

Never forget that your glory in this world is not the goods you have, or your strength or your wisdom, but rather, knowing God and dwelling in the shelter of the Most High and resting in the shadow of the Almighty.

2 Corinthians 10:17 17 But, Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.

Psalm 91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.

The Lord bless you and keep you.
