Throughout our lives, we build our relationship with God, gradually, getting closer to him, every day and every moment, in a process that will take place until the day we meet him permanently.
In the construction of our spiritual life, communion between us and God takes place progressively, as we surrender to, seek and understand God.
And the more we surrender, seek and understand God, the more intimacy and spiritual sensitivity we have and consequently feel and hear the voice of the Holy Spirit more easily.
Hebrews 3:6 But Christ is faithful as a son over God's house. And we are his house, if we hold on to our courage and the hope of which we boast. 7 So, as the Holy Spirit says: Today, if you hear his voice, 8 do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the desert.
Revelation 1:10 On the Lord's Day I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet.
We know that it is not by speaking too much that we will be heard, but we will be heard when we speak words of faith and worship before God.
Matthew 6:7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.
The closer we get to God, the more He will demand from us TOTAL AND UNCONDITIONAL surrender to Him.
Just as Abraham was tested in his faith and faithfulness when God asked and he took his only son Isaac to be sacrificed, this must be our attitude towards God's will: UNCONDITIONAL OBEDIENCE.
Hebrews 11:17 By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had received the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, 18 even though God had said to him, It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.
God does not want us to make sacrifices or show our faith just for appearances, often speaking “wonderful and beautiful words”.
What God wants from us are attitudes that show our faith and our fidelity, because as we have already said: Talking a lot means nothing to God.
James 2:14 What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him?
James 2:17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. 18 But someone will say, You have faith; I have deeds. Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.
Therefore, FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS USELESS, IT DOES NOT BLESS OR SAVE, BECAUSE IT IS DEAD AND A FALSE FAITH.
Jesus called you to be true in all things, because the lie comes from the devil and has nothing from God.
John 8:44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
John 4:23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.
So, SHOW YOUR FAITH THROUGH YOUR ATTITUDES, because no one deceives God.
The Lord bless you and keep you.
