In our lives, both naturally and spiritually, there will always be situations in which we must win.
As we have already said on other occasions, overcoming temptations must be a daily challenge for all Christians and you must understand that temptations will always be around you, trying to divert you from God's ways and make you not reach His promises.
1 Peter 5:8 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Temptation and lies are the devil's favorite weapons to make you sin and consequently make you suffer the consequences of sin.
It was like this with Adam and Eve, Satan watched the desires of Eve's heart and acted exactly on that opportunity, causing her and Adam to disobey God and sin.
FIRST: Satan observed and tried to confirm what God's orders would be:
Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, Did God really say, You must not eat from any tree in the garden?
SECOND: Satan corrupted the Word of God, saying that God was a liar:
Genesis 3:2 The woman said to the serpent, We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die. 4 You will not surely die, the serpent said to the woman.
THIRD: The power of Adam and Eve's desire and ambition were greater than the fear of God, than the faithfulness of God, than the love of God:
Genesis 3:6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.
The result of that sinful decision of Adam and Eve was terrible, as it generated the separation between man and God and the curse and death.
Satan continues to use the same strategy today: He observes, corrupts the Word of God and lies, saying "YOU CAN DO ANYTHING".
How many times does man act like Adam and Eve acted, sinning and disobeying God in an open way.
Your thoughts of God have not changed and will never change, simply because GOD DOES NOT CHANGE.
Malachi 3:6 I the LORD do not change. So you, O descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.
What was sin yesterday is still sin today and will be so tomorrow.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
The consequences of sin also remain the same, that is, generating the separation between man and God and the curse and death.
Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
BE AWARE AND WIN THE TEMPTATIONS, as Jesus won in the desert, when he was tempted by the devil (Matthew, chapter 4).
Put an end to the devil's lies, live the truth of God, which is his word, position yourself as a true child of God, who obeys and honors God and does not listen to darkness.
YOU WILL GET IT!
1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
The Lord bless you and keep you.
