MESSAGES

Like a Thief in the Night (1 Thessalonians 5:2)

We all know that God's plans can never be canceled.

Isaiah 14:27 For the LORD Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart him? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?

God created man, according to his image and his likeness.

And God's original plan for man is that man should live in communion with Him and have the freedom and privilege to converse with God every day, without barriers or hindrances.

Genesis 3:8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the LORD God called to the man, Where are you?

Adam and Eve's disobedience caused men to be expelled from the presence of God and brought with it the curse and death.

Genesis 3:17 To Adam he said, Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, You must not eat of it, Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. 19 By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return. 23 So the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.

But as we already said, God's plans cannot be canceled, so God's desire is to meet and talk to us every day during our prayers.

Even so, one day we will return to the original condition of man's creation, that is, we will live alongside God and eternally.

And this return will only be possible through Jesus, because as the Word of God says:

1 John 3:8 ...The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work.

Through Jesus' sacrifice, death no longer has authority over our lives, for the ransom price for sin has been paid and there is no longer any condemnation upon us:

1 Corinthians 6:20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

But many, like the Jews who crucified Jesus, are still rejecting Jesus' sacrifice on the cross and continue to sin, therefore, the separation between these men and God still persists and death still has authority over them and they are destitute of the glory of God.

1 John 3:6 No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.

There is a popular saying that says: "All roads lead to God", but contrary to what people have accepted, the only truth of this proverb is that all of us, one day, will be taken to the presence of Jesus to be judged by Him, not like the lie that satan has been teaching: that God accepts anything.

THE ONLY WAY THAT LEADS US TO COMMUNION AND LIFE WITH GOD IS JESUS, for it was He who reconciled us with God and only through Him do we have the status of being called children of God:

John 14:6 Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 1:12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

Make no mistake, for Jesus will come for his church, his people, those who accepted his sacrifice and do not live in sin.

THE ULTIMATE DAY OF OUR LIVES COULD BE TODAY, on the day of our death or on the return of Christ.

1 Thessalonians 5:2 for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.

Look at the cross and receive the sacrifice of Jesus, repent and ask God for forgiveness for your sins and He will receive you as a son and God's inheritance with you will be reestablished.

BUT DO IT TODAY AND DON'T GO BACK, BECAUSE TOMORROW MAY BE TOO LATE.

The Lord bless you and keep you.
