Who is the King of Glory? (Psalm 24)

Psalm 24:
1 Of David. A psalm. The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;
2 for he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.
3 Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place?
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false.
5 He will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God his Savior.
6 Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, O God of Jacob. Selah
7 Lift up your heads, O you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, O you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
10 Who is he, this King of glory? The LORD Almighty-- he is the King of glory. Selah

Psalm 24 was written by David, it was sung by the people of Israel on the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot), a feast that recalls the 40 years of the exodus of the Hebrews in the desert after their departure from Egypt.

Psalm 24 is a psalm that extols the greatness of God, recognizing the LORD as the creator of the universe and his authority over that universe.

Psalm 24:1 Of David. A psalm. The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; 2 for he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.

We also find God's revelation that only the "INTEGRAL IN HEART" will reach his blessing and salvation.

Psalm 24:3 Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place? 4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false. 5 He will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God his Savior. 6 Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, O God of Jacob. Selah

In verse 7, we have an exaltation to God, when David called the LORD the King of Glory, declaring that the LORD is greater than all that exists, to the point of saying symbolically, that the doors have to be lift up for God to come in.

Psalm 24:7 Lift up your heads, O you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.

And finally we find David asserting that God is the strong and mighty King and that the LORD of hosts is the King of Glory.

Psalm 24:8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. 10 Who is he, this King of glory? The LORD Almighty-- he is the King of glory.

ALSO BE A WORSHIPER OF GOD LIKE DAVID WAS.

Enlarge the doors of your heart and let the King of Glory come in, because God's desire is always to show you his glory.

Be "INTEGRAL OF HEART" so that you reach the blessings of God, because only those will reach the blessings of God and remember that the Word of God never returns empty.

Psalm 24:4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false. 5 He will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God his Savior.

The Lord bless you and keep you.
