MESSAGES

Jesus, the Savior of the World! (John 4:42)

Once, Jesus arrived in a city of Samaria called Sychar, and as He was tired from the journey, He sat down to rest by the well that Jacob had built and there appeared a Samaritan woman to draw water from the well, and Jesus asked her for water.

John 4:7 When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, Will you give me a drink?

At that time, Jews did not have the custom of talking to Samaritans, as Jews considered them heretics, as they were descendants of Jews mixed with other peoples.

Jesus didn't care about that and introduced himself to her as the Messiah.

John 4:25 The woman said, I know that Messiah (called Christ) is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us. 26 Then Jesus declared, I who speak to you am he.

Regardless of the prejudices that woman also had, she received the words of Jesus and began to announce to her people that she had found the probable Messiah.

John 4:28 Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, 29 Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Christ?

Although we were not worthy, one day we too were privileged to receive the revelation of Jesus and we believe in that revelation.

We must, then, live the gospel and be like that Samaritan woman was, LIVING WITNESSES OF JESUS, announcing his great works.

The men who heard that woman's testimony went to meet Jesus and were amazed at his words.

John 4:30 They came out of the town and made their way toward him.

The Jewish people rejected Jesus, but those who were not "Jews" received him and clearly understood his message.

John 1:11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.

And they begged him to remain with them, and they believed his words.

John 4:40 So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days. 41 And because of his words many more became believers.

Maybe you feel incapable of talking about Jesus or preaching the gospel, but believe that you can testify of the great things that Jesus has done in your life, to help people who are suffering and lost, and many times, without any hope.

A small message can change a life.

Simple messages like these:

• Jesus is the way out of your problems!
• Jesus can help you like he helped me!
• Jesus can change your story!

Through you, others will be able to have the privilege of saying as those men said:

John 4:42 They said to the woman, We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.

Have courage, GOD CAN USE YOU TO BLESS SOME LIVES, don't be intimidated, simply SPEAK ABOUT WHAT JESUS REPRESENTS TO YOU AND SPEAK ABOUT EVERYTHING HE CAN DO.

MAY GOD USE YOU!

The Lord bless you and keep you.
