Give Thanks to the Lord for His Wonderful Deeds (Psalm 107)

All who are going through struggles or difficulties should meditate deeply on Psalm 107, for in fact Psalm 107 is a spiritual battle Psalm, demonstrating the power of God in the difficulties or struggles that the people of Israel faced.

As God does not change and is not a respecter of persons, if you act as the people of Israel acted, God's arrangement for you will also be the same.

In Psalm 107, God urges us to keep the faith, regardless of the difficulties we face, because God will always have the authority and power to come to the rescue and change our history.

The psalmist begins the Psalm by motivating us to thank God for all that He has done and for all that He will still do for us.

Psalm 107:1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.

In 4 more verses, that is, in a total of 5 verses, the psalmist asks us the same thing, that we give thanks to the Lord:

Psalms 107:8 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind.

Psalm 107:Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind.

Psalm 107:Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind.

Psalm 107:31 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind.

In other verses, we see the difficult situations that the people of Israel were facing, before the providences of God:

Psalms 107:2 Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story — those he redeemed from the hand of the foe, 3 those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south. 4 Some wandered in desert wastelands, finding no way to a city where they could settle. 5 They were hungry and thirsty, and their lives ebbed away.

Psalm 107:10 Some sat in darkness, in utter darkness, prisoners suffering in iron chains, 11 because they rebelled against God’s commands and despised the plans of the Most High. 12 So he subjected them to bitter labor; they stumbled, and there was no one to help.

Psalm 107:17 Some became fools through their rebellious ways and suffered affliction because of their iniquities. 18 They loathed all food and drew near the gates of death.

Psalm 107:26 They mounted up to the heavens and went down to the depths; in their peril their courage melted away. 27 They reeled and staggered like drunkards; they were at their wits’ end.

THE ATTITUDES THAT LEADED TO GOD'S PROVIDENCE WERE ALWAYS THE SAME:

Psalm 107:6 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.

Psalm 107:13 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.

Psalm 107:19 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.

Psalm 107:28 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress.

God's ANSWER to a CLAMOR WITH FAITH will always be the same: THE NECESSARY HELP:

Psalms 107:7 He led them by a straight way to a city where they could settle.

Psalm 107:13 ... and he saved them from their distress. 14 He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness, and broke away their chains.

Psalm 107:19 ... and he saved them from their distress. 20 He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.

Psalm 107:28 ... and he brought them out of their distress. 29 He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. 30 They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven.

Now that you've realized the powerful message of Psalm 107, read it through, and rejoice in all that God will do for you when you cry out in FAITH to Him.

The Lord bless you and keep you.
