The Just Shall Live by His Faith (Habakkuk 2:4)

THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY HIS FAITH. This statement appears four times in the Bible (Habakkuk 2:4, Hebrews 10:38, Romans 1:17, Galatians 3:11), therefore, God more than confirmed His desire that we are practicing this attitude.

Today I would like to draw his attention to the biblical meaning of the word “JUST”.

The Bible teaches us that we are justified (made righteous) by our faith in Jesus.

Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

In another text we see:

Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

That is, to be considered JUST by God, it is not enough just to do “good things”, but it will be necessary to express our faith in Jesus.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

But, you cannot forget that having faith is not simply believing that Jesus came into the world and died for us or just believing that God exists, as James said:

James 2:19 You believe that there is one God; you do well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

And yet in the very book of James 2:18 Yes, a man may say, You have faith, and I have works: show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

Your faith must be expressed through WORDS, ATTITUDES AND TESTIMONIES.

Having faith means: BELIEVING AND PRACTICE the attitudes that God commands, because it is through our faithfulness to God and our perseverance that we will achieve our rewards.

Living by faith means: PLACING GOD IN FRONT of projects, needs and struggles, believing that God cares and will never let us perish, no matter the size of the struggle, if you are faithful, God will always honor you.

Now, if you are not faithful to God or do not persevere in your faith, then you will surely perish.

If you don't know God, how can you have faith in him?

The more you know the Word of God, the more faith you will have in God.

Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

The Lord bless you and keep you.
