In several verses in the Bible we find examples of the power of intercession:
Numbers 11:2 When the people cried out to Moses, he prayed to the Lord and the fire died down.
John 4:47 When this man heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to him and begged him to come and heal his son, who was close to death.
Matthew 8:5 When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. 6 Lord, he said, my servant lies at home paralyzed, suffering terribly.
Mark 2:4 Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on.
Acts of the apostles 12:5 So Peter was kept in prison, but earnest prayer for him was made to God by the church.
The verb TO INTERCEDE means: Asking for someone (other), serving as an intermediary.
When you pray on behalf of someone, you are actually interceding to Jesus for them and the Bible motivates us to pray for each other and states that the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
We must intercede, because many times people do not have the spiritual strength or faith to seek God or because someone who does not yet know Christ needs the power of God.
God's holiness prevents Him from blessing those who are unfaithful, so He uses the intercession of a RIGHTEOUS PERSON (justified by Christ) to free, protect, and bless those who are still deluded and deceived by the things of this world.
In several verses of the Bible, where there was intercession, God responded with miracles and how many times these miracles edified and converted several people.
Therefore, do not judge the people you know, often condemning them to destruction or justifying their misfortunes with their sins (although this is often true).
ASK GOD TO PERFORM A MIRACLE, to free this person from evil, so that the name of Jesus may be glorified and perhaps a life may be converted to Christ because of the miracle He performed, because of His prayer.
Take advantage of this moment and list at least 10 people who you know and know need a blessing from God.
This same night or tomorrow intercede on their behalf and I know that God will hear and honor your prayer.
Imagine, then, if 10 people pray interceding for 10 other people, they will be 100 blessed people.
DO IT! And it will be wonderful.
The Lord bless you and keep you.
