One of the most uplifting stories in the Bible is the story of Gideon, due to the depth of the message that God passes through the verses that are found in Judges 6:12-16 (read this Biblical passage).

The Midianites had subjugated the people of Israel and oppressed them.

So we need to understand what was the reason for that oppression that the people of Israel went through:

The people of Israel were weak in faith, they worshiped the God of Israel and worshiped the “gods” of the Midianites, out of fear of these “gods”, failing to fulfill God's orders.

Judges 6:10 And I said to you, I am the LORD your God; you shall not fear the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But you have not obeyed my voice.

Unfortunately, this situation has not changed much nowadays.

A large number of "believers" have more faith in the devil than in the power of God.

• They are afraid of sorcery and wizards;
• They are afraid of going near witchcraft work at a crossroads;
• They are afraid of the actions of demons in their lives;
• They are afraid of the devil's “retaliation” when they go to do God's work or pray for someone.

A large number of "believers" believe in absurd beliefs and are superstitious:

• They are afraid of going under stairs and it is not because they are afraid of something falling on their head, but because they think it is bad luck;
• They are afraid of black cats;
• They are terrified of Fridays on the thirteenth;
• They believe in horoscopes.

And they forget the Word of God, when it says:

Our victory will always happen, simply, because God will always go with us.

Judges 6:
14 And the LORD turned to him and said, Go in this might of yours and save Israel from the hand of Midian; do not I send you?
15 And he said to him, Please, Lord, how can I save Israel? Behold, my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.
16 And the LORD said to him, But I will be with you, and you shall strike the Midianites as one man.

Jesus gave us power to overcome the enemy and no force of the enemy can cause us any harm.

Luke 10:19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.

If you have given your life to Jesus and you are faithful to Him, the devil cannot touch you.

1 John 5:18 We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.

People are forgetting that God is ALMIGHTY and that if we walk in His presence, we will be made His perfection.

Genesis 17:1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless.

People are forgetting or DON'T HAVE FAITH, to understand that THE WORD OF GOD IS INFALLIBLE and whoever goes against the Word of God, goes against God himself and because of that they will be destroyed.

Jesus once said: Matthew 22:29 But Jesus answered them, You are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God.

This is the main reason why we find fearful and faithless people, who live in fear of the devil and do not experience the fullness of God in this world, BECAUSE THEY DO NOT KNOW THE WORD OF GOD, NOR THE POWER OF GOD.

You were also called to be “A PERSON OF VALOR”, so have the conviction that God will always be with you and because He is with you, no matter the size of the problem, GOD WILL DELIVER YOU AND GIVE YOU VICTORY, BELIEVE!
