In the last gospel, which is the gospel of John, in the last verse, of the last chapter, we find the following text:
John 21:25 Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.
The text above clearly demonstrates the immensity of Jesus' works in the three years of his earthly ministry.
Jesus performed many miracles while he was in the world as a man, he healed the sick, freed people from demonic possessions, raised the dead, multiplied bread and fish, turned water into wine, among others.
We cannot forget that the message and work of Jesus also generated transformations in lives, understanding of the scriptures, changes in stories and something much greater, which is SALVATION.
Millions and millions of people continue to be reached by Jesus' miracles, such as: Healings, liberations, resurrection of the dead.
But the greatest and most important miracles of Jesus are still:
• THE MIRACLE OF THE ELIMINATION OF TRANSGRESSIONS AND SINS;
• THE MIRACLE OF DELIVERANCE FROM CURSES, SORROWS, SUFFERINGS, ILLNESSES:
Isaiah 53:
4 Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.
Isaiah 61:
1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;
3 to grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified.
• THE MIRACLE OF MAN'S RELIGION WITH GOD:
Matthew 27:51 And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And the earth shook, and the rocks were split.
• THE MIRACLE OF POWER TO TRANSFORM GOD'S CREATURES INTO GOD'S CHILDREN:
John 1:
12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,
13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
Therefore, if you rejoice in the wonderful miracles of Jesus, never forget that the great miracle of Jesus is SALVATION, that was why He came into the world.
1 John 3:8 ...The reason the Son of God appeared was u to destroy the works of the devil.
But people are disregarding and forgetting that SALVATION MUST BE CONQUERED, through faith and attitudes that demonstrate true conversion, attitudes that demonstrate our love and fidelity to God.
The vast majority of Jesus' miracles cited in the gospels were preceded by attitudes of faith, perseverance, worship and the recognition that Jesus was the Messiah, the Christ.
Do the same and God's miracles will be constant in your life and you will also achieve God's great and greatest miracle, THE DEFINITIVE MIRACLE, SALVATION.
The Lord bless you and keep you.
