MESSAGES

I am Going and I Will Come Again! (John 14:28)

Easter is the most important date for Christianity, because it was during the Jewish Passover that Jesus, the Son of God, gave his life for us, dying on the cross and through his blood, which cleanses us from all sin, we conquer eternal life.

1 John 1:7 ... and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

Shortly before his death, Jesus ministered the Holy Supper to his disciples and taught us that we should repeat this ceremony, to remember his death, his resurrection and that one day he will return.

1 Corinthians 11:
25 In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.

It was on Easter Day that Jesus was resurrected and remained on earth for about forty days, appearing to his disciples and teaching them things that they had not yet understood or learned.

Acts 1:3 He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.

After these 40 days, Jesus was taken up to heaven, but before that he left several promises about his return:

John 14:18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

John 14:28 You heard me say to you, I am going away, and I will come to you. If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

The return of Christ should be the most awaited event for Christians.

HAVE YOU EXPERIENCED THIS?

John 14:
1 Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.

Our life in this world is a journey, and during this journey, we have to prove our love and faithfulness to God, so that one day we may be called by Jesus “Blessed of my Father” and receive our reward and live eternally with God.

Matthew 25:34 Then the King will say to those on his right, Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

Jesus said: John 14:15 If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

In other words, love for God must be demonstrated through our faithfulness, because without faithfulness, love is false.

Understand that you do not belong to this world. This world is merely an opportunity for us to attain the grace of God, which is Jesus, and to live in the future in the world that God has definitively prepared for us.

John 15:19 If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

Man was condemned to death and hell, but God was pleased to give us the opportunity for redemption, life, through Jesus, to live definitively by His side, without sin and without death.

Do not despise this opportunity, understand that from this world the only things you will take to the world to come will be your attitudes toward the Word of God.

Our faithfulness will be measured by comparing our attitudes with the attitudes that God requires of us, as described in the Bible.

Therefore, I suggest that you get to know better and follow that which will serve as a measure for your judgment, which is THE BIBLE, so that you do not make mistakes and lose your salvation.

Revelation 22:
18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book,
19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.
20 He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

The Lord bless you and keep you.
