Jesus once warned us to be wary of false prophets, comparing these men to ravening wolves disguised as sheep.
Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
In the verse above, Jesus was warning us:
• About those who speak and minister the Word of God, but do not live it, that is, they are deceivers and often corrupt the Word of God, to achieve a certain personal goal.
• About those who are used by God to bless lives, but in fact have not yet truly converted, and are living a life of illusions and lies and their attitudes do not represent their words.
Jesus taught us to recognize true and false prophets and also warned these men that not all who say lord, lord will enter the kingdom of God:
Matthew 7:16 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will recognize them by their fruits. 21 Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?23 And then will I declare to them, I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.
Many "prophets” will be astonished in the day of judgment, for they will hear:
Matthew 7:23 And then will I declare to them, I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.
The Bible teaches us not just to be hearers of God's Word, but it teaches us to be doers of the Word.
James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. 24 For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. 25 But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.
Jesus spoke:Luke 11:28 But he said, Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!
Therefore, be a true prophet of God, PREACH the Word and FOLLOW it, so that the fruits of your labor are good and these fruits are recognized as fruits of a good tree and that on the day of final judgment you hear these words of Jesus to his respect:
Matthew 25:21 His master said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.
The Lord bless you and keep you.
